Established in April 2021, this company has developed 'MACS (Multi-modal AI for CCTV Solution),' a real-time video analysis solution based on multi-modal artificial intelligence (AI) technology, opening the era of CCTV that understands and makes decisions beyond the age of simple surveillance.

Existing intelligent CCTV systems remained at the level of simply recognizing objects. However, MACS processes text and image information simultaneously through VLM (Vision Language Model)-based multi-modal AI, precisely recognizing complex situations. This enables real-time detection and immediate alerts for various abnormal signs including crime, disasters, and safety accidents.

Particularly, PiaSpace's technology can operate without high-spec GPUs and is designed to enable parallel analysis of up to 100 channels. This is a result of dramatically improving operational efficiency and versatility compared to existing solutions. The design considering actual users, including RTSP-based simple integration, intuitive UX, and user permission management, is also impressive.

PiaSpace has established a commercialization foundation through PoC (Proof of Concept) with major domestic institutions including Incheon International Airport, Incheon Port Authority, KT Telecop, Daegu Public Facility Management Corporation, and Gwangjin-gu Office, with some institutions reaching paid service conversion.

Furthermore, they have completed establishing local subsidiaries and team composition in Southeast Asian regions including Singapore and Thailand, initiating full-scale global expansion. They are actually building port area security solutions in cooperation with Singapore's Sembcorp, and jointly developing private CCTV integrated surveillance systems with KT Telecop.

PiaSpace's 2024 revenue reached $1.44 million, with cumulative investment reaching approximately $3 million. With 36 employees, they are solidifying their position as a technology-centered company along with meaningful organizational expansion.

The technology developed by PiaSpace doesn't stop at just the product level. Recently, they are preparing expansion into various industry sectors including UAM (Urban Air Mobility), smart city security, and smart factory integrated control, and are also pursuing new businesses such as establishing next-generation smart city security cooperation systems with LH.

PiaSpace will participate in VivaTech 2025 to establish a bridgehead for European market entry. In European markets with high public security demand such as France, Germany, and Italy, PiaSpace's MACS will attract attention as a differentiated solution based on the strengths of lightweight design, real-time capabilities, and complex recognition abilities. Particularly, thanks to designs that comply with EU digital strategies and AI ethics standards, the possibility of securing procurement and institutional partnerships is also highly evaluated.

PiaSpace has succeeded in evolving CCTV from a simple 'viewing tool' to a 'brain' that predicts and responds to risks. MACS is changing the paradigm of the security industry, and this company's global expansion is just the beginning. PiaSpace, presenting new standards for AI-based real-time video analysis.
